Nigeria (Lagos), 1887- 1919

The first Gazette for Nigeria was published after the Royal Jubilee in 1887. Early editions covered the 'Colony of Lagos'; the Gazette's name then changed as the colony grew. Some names of officers and occasionally other employees too, are present from the first edition. Legal content includes High Court judgments, legislation and ordinances. Zambia (Northern Rhodesia), 1899-1919

The first of these gazettes was published in 1899; it was known as the 'British Central Africa Gazette' until the end of 1902. This Gazette's title would continue to change as the colony's borders did. Scattered references to officers are present from 1899, but regular records of appointments and departures begin in 1906. Malawi (Nyasaland), 1899-1919

The first of these gazettes was published in 1899; it was titled the 'British Central Africa Gazette' until the end of 1906. Despite the name, the gazettes of Malawi and Zambia were separated for the start of 1903.
