Finance, 1895-1956
Dependencies were expected to be self-supporting, albeit accountable to and under the supervision of the Colonial Office. The Audit, Estimates and other financial reports provide a wealth of information on the sources of revenue and allocation of resources by and within the Colonial Government. The Treasurer's Report was superseded by the Accountant-General's Report on Finance and Accounts in 1937. Read more →
