The Blackshirt, 1933-1939
The Blackshirt was a weekly, then monthly, newspaper published by the BUF during the period 1933-1939. The Blackshirt served to complement Action, targeting card-carrying members of the party. From 1st June 1934, it incorporated the short-lived periodical Fascist Week under the banner "The official organ of the British Union of Fascists." The East London Pioneer, 1936-1937
The East London Pioneer was a short-lived newspaper launched by the BUF in October 1936, circulating in the Boroughs of Bethnal Green, Hackney, Shoreditch, and Stepney. Originally intended to be a monthly, it lasted less than a year, and even then failed to live up to its initial billing.
