The Gazettes for Kenya contain officer appointments throughout. The series for 1944 also contains a list of doctors, nurses and dentists for the colony. Each Gazette includes laws, ordinances, appointments and court judgements. These items cover the legal creation of Kenya as a Colony in 1920, followed by World War 2. They also include Eliud Mathu becoming the first black member of Kenya's legislative council in October 1944. These gazettes were published alongside the Annual Departmental Reports for Kenya.
