While the Post Office did process telegraphs, in addition to post; these reports also encompass publications upon printing from 1907 until 1960. The Treasury Savings Bank was transferred to the Postal Department on the 1st January 1908 and from that date Savings Bank business which had been confined to the Lagos Territory, was transacted at Post Offices across southern Nigeria.
