These gazettes contain details of officer appointments throughout. Each of these Ugandan gazettes includes laws, ordinances, bankruptcy records, appointments, and general notices. In 1962 preparations were being made for independence. The East Africa Commission was to pass from the British Empire to the control of the native authorities. The supplement to the Gazettes from 1962 contains the terms under which the Commission would change hands.
